Desiree dishes inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tales have been produced since 1970
The plate Desiree Denmark, Old Copenhagen Blue, Svend Jensen of Denmark, 2003 is titled "The Galoshes of Fortune”
The ornamental motif is in relief and the plate is hand-decorated in classic cobalt blue shades applied underglaze.
The dish is produced in limited quantities and production ends at the end of the year with the destruction of the original shape, making it impossible to reproduce.
To guarantee its authenticity, the plate bears the Desireé mark: Desireé Denmark - Old Copenhagen Blue - Svend Jensen of Denmark. The progressive number of the
edition and the title of the dish.
The plate measures 18.5 cm in diameter and has two holes on the back, made by Desireé during production, for hanging.
