The finish

Beech is among the woods that minimize the risk of absorption of food substances with which it may come into contact.

However, to obtain even more effective protection, we have subjected our cutting boards to an impregnation with olive oil, which acts as a barrier between the wood and food.

Warnings

Given the sensitivity of wood to high temperatures, it is strongly recommended not to wash the cutting board in the dishwasher, but by hand with warm water and a little detergent.

We also suggest you grease it with olive oil periodically.

The raw material

The wood used is beech from the forests of Eastern Europe, where the plant is felled after a 20-year cycle to leave space for natural growth and allow the forest heritage to grow.

The processing

Our cutting boards are made with strips obtained from the most valuable part of the trunk and dried in the open air for a long period.
